ADIRONDACK INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY RELEASES 2007 PURSE STRUCTURES; IMPROVEMENTS CONTINUE

NEW BREMEN, N.Y. – The management at New Bremen, N.Y.’s Adirondack International Speedway released their 2007 Purse Structures for all four of their weekly competing divisions this past Monday. Each purse structure is viewable on the AIS website; www.adirondackspeedway.com. Purse Structures also can be obtained through mail by phoned request to the Speedway Office.

Once again, New York State’s only ASA Member Track, the AIS will boast the largest weekly payout in the state for their premier headline class of the ASA Challenger Late Models. During regular weekly events the popular division will pay $1000-to-win and at least $200 to start. Extra distance events will trigger a boost in the core of the field with pay increases from positions eighth to 20th.

Remaining divisions such as the Sport Compacts, Light Trucks, and True Stocks will relatively maintain the same purse as years prior with two different purse structures that resemble a car count. For the Sport Compact and True Stock divisions the teams will see a larger purse for a car count that exceeds 15 cars. Contrary to last year the Light Truck division will see a nominal pay increase if the class were to bring 24+ pick-ups on a regular night.

With the release of the structured payouts all teams will see improvements behind the scenes as well. Most importantly, all payouts will be available following an evenings’ action rather than a week later like years prior. “It was really important to me to develop a way to get our drivers paid on the exact night of racing rather than a week later,” quoted Track Manager, Billy Gibson. “Mainly I see it to attract outside teams that may have been discouraged in coming to our Speedway knowing that they wouldn’t receive their payout during the same night. The new plan will entirely eliminate that.”

While the off-season is dwindling down, the 2007 schedule for the AIS will be released within the next week. Many plans are forthcoming and at the current moment the 2007 season looks to be a banner year for the Northern NY facility.
