NORMAL START TIME TO CHANGE IN 2007 AT THE ADIRONDACK INTERNATIONAL
SPEEDWAY
NEW BREMEN, N.Y. – While the Adirondack International Speedway speeds into their sixth season of professional asphalt racing the improvements have continued. Contrary to the past five years of racing existence in Lewis County, the management of AIS has adjusted the weekly start-time assuring that the fans will be home at an even better hour than in the past.
Sometimes rattling off full four-division racing events in well under three hours the Speedway has now announced that the normal start time has been adjusted to 6:30PM for regular events.
“Even though our track staff has done a fantastic job in the past of getting our fans out at a decent hour we felt it would be just another step forward to make it even better,” quoted track manager Billy Gibson. “Not only do we hope to attract traveling fans with the change, but it also gives our traveling teams some more time to get home at a more reasonable hour than in the past.” The change will surely be welcome as the Speedway continues to attract several teams from (3+) hours away.
The full 2007 Schedule is now viewable on the Adirondack International Speedway website and unless otherwise noted all events will begin at 6:30PM. The earlier start will also trigger the gates to open a bit earlier. Pit gates will be schedule to open on a weekly basis at 3:30PM while the grandstands will open at 4:30PM.
The Adirondack International Speedway is located along Artz Rd. in the town of New Bremen, easily accessible from State Route 12 and Interstate 81. For more information contact the Speedway office at (315) 346-RACE or consult their website at www.adirondackspeedway.com.
