NASCAR CAMPING WORLD SERIES STARS TO ENHANCE ADIRONDACK INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY BOOTH AT THIS WEEKENDS SYRACUSE MOTORSPORTS EXPO

SYRACUSE – The Adirondack International Speedway has become a staple at this show.

Consistently lending assistance in allowing star driver appearances become a reality at the annual Motorsports Expo at the New York State Fairgrounds, the Adirondack Speedway went the extra mile to make this coming weekend’s festivities a success.

When NASCAR star Johnny Benson was slated to visit the show but had to back out with last minute plans the Adirondack Speedway was called to see if it was a possibility to drum up appearances from their field of NASCAR Camping World Series stars.

The phone calls were made and few hours later, consider the job done. NASCAR Camping World Series stars; Matt Kobyluck and Peyton Sellers will grace the Adirondack International Speedway booth at the Toyota Exhibit Center in what will be the 22nd Annual Motorsports Expo and Trade Show during this coming weekend; March 7th thru 9th. Show times will run from 5pm-9pm on Friday, March 7th; 11am-9pm on Saturday, March 8th; and 11am-5pm on Sunday, March 9th.

Kobyluck of Uncasville, CT a true pioneer of the division in his own right will be on hand to sign autographs at the Adirondack International Speedway booth during two sessions on Saturday. The first will take place from 1pm-3pm and the next from 5pm-7pm. In addition Kobyluck and team will be rolling their potent Mohegan Sun Casino No. 40 Chevrolet Monte Carlo into the Speedway booth for the entire three-day show. The 38-year-old father of three is a 12-time event winner along the NASCAR Camping World East Series where two of the 12 triumphs were collected at Adirondack, one in 2004 and the other in ‘05. Kobyluck has tallied point finishes in every top-five position, with an exception of the 1st place slot. His visit to Syracuse will be one of his first appearances of 2008 as he sets out to change that stat. The ultimate season ending goal for the self-employed driver is his first championship along the ultra-competitive series.

While Kobyluck will grace the AIS booth only for Saturday, Peyton Sellers will do so for Saturday and Sunday. Sellers, who in 2008 will drive for the Andy Santerre Motorsports powerhouse is a development driver for Richard Childress Racing and consistently is noted as one of the future stars among NASCAR’s premier series’. The 24-year-old completed an improbable season in 2007 when he finished third in the Camping World East Series point standings in a family owned single-car operation. Sellers best taste of success in 2007 was at the South Boston Speedway where he won the pole award and later swapped the lead with Kobyluck 11 times en route to second place finish. Kobyluck was the eventual winner of the event. The Danville, VA resident also picked up a runner-up finish at the Toyota All-Star Showdown; the premier Grand National event that pairs the Camping World East and West Series together for the ultimate battle.

All fans are encouraged to come out to the Gater Racing News Motorsports Expo to meet two of the top stars in the NASCAR Camping World Series. Both competitors will be visiting the Salt City in promotion of Adirondack’s 7th Annual NASCAR Weekend that will take place during the Summer of 2008. The event will be a two-day race weekend taking place July 25th-26th capped off with the seventh running of the NASCAR Camping World East Series, “Edge Hotel 150”. “We are very pleased to have two of the top NASCAR Camping World Series stars to represent our facility at the Motorsports Expo,” stated track owner Paul Lyndaker. “Matt and Peyton are both class acts and it is an honor to have them come out on such short notice to meet and greet with the fans. All it took was a simple call to each of them and they went above and beyond the call of duty.”
