LEE GILL TAKES IN THE SPOILS AFTER OPENING NIGHT WIN; CHOLA SHAY AWARDED AS WELL
May 22, 2007
NEW BREMEN – After winning the First Annual Renegade Spring Nationals Champ 101, Lee Gill instantly reeled in $2,000 of prize money… and nearly $1,000 in contingency awards, capped off with a set of DART Machinery heads as well.
The La Fargeville, NY resident knocked off the win passing Redwood’s (NY) John Papin in the closing circuits, tallying his first feature win on the asphalt.
In conjunction with the Contingency Connection the Adirondack International Speedway has provided a program for all of their competing ASA Challenger Late Model cars to win money and prizes good for product to keep their machines in prime condition. While two winners are picked weekly, Gill secured one spot with his win while Chola Shay was drawn as the second winner. Of Matamoras, PA; Shay finished a disappointing 17th place after being involved in an early incident. Shay’s contingency money will total that of Gills. From manufacturers such as Holley, Wilwood Brakes, Richmond Gear and a slew of others, the program is a must for all competing teams.
The set of racing heads courtesy of DART Machinery and the Adirondack International Speedway have been issued as certificates good for a set of racing heads from the Troy, Michigan based manufacturer. As three more sets of heads are left to be awarded, three more drivers will secure the valuable prize spread across three more dates in 2007.
The next DART giveaway date is currently set for TJ Toyota of Potsdam Night on June 30th.
For more information on the contingency program being offered call the Speedway office at (315) 346-RACE.
