Mother Nature Prevails at Adirondack; Schedule to Move Ahead
NEW BREMEN (NY) – With Mother Nature sweeping across the top of New York State this past Saturday night, the staff and officials of the Adirondack International Speedway cancelled their already-postponed events.
With a full fireworks show on tap as well as the highly anticipated Spirit of ’76 Night on the docket, the evening was cancelled shortly before gates were scheduled to open. As the events were first foiled by rain during the first attempt on June 30th, the schedule held a raindate for the following Saturday, July 7th. With the postponed date being scratched due to inclement weather, the management will move on with the schedule as it reads and will extend the season by one week. The complete TJ Toyota of Potsdam/Spirit of ’76 Weekend along with Bike Night, Fireworks and the extra distance Late Model special will be run on Saturday, September 15th with a raindate of Sunday, September 16th. Start time for this event is to be announced.
All rainchecks will be carried over to the September 15th date and will not be honored at any events leading up to the early-fall special. One week later, on September 21st and 22nd the Oswego Speedway will roar into action with their Race of Champions Weekend.
