Ron Hornaday Night Scratched; Family Autograph
Night Added
NEW
BREMEN (NY) – Just as the Adirondack International
Speedway was gearing up for the return of NASCAR
Craftsman Truck superstar; Ron Hornaday, to re-visit
the Speedway on August 18th, plans have
changed, placing Hornaday in California on the
anticipated date.
While Hornaday has recently been hired
to drive the Kevin Harvick, Inc. owned/Dollar
General No. 77 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR
Busch Grand National Series his sponsorship
commitments have him making a run in California in a
Le Mans style racecar.
Last season, Hornaday made the visit to
the Speedway for an August 19th date,
however Mother Nature prevailed disallowing the
Speedway to go on with the nights activities. “It is
with deep regret that we aren’t able to get Ron out
here for another shot at it,” commented track owner
Paul Lyndaker. “However, we will still hold the same
exciting racing action that we are very proud of,
with our local stars.” In return, the evening’s
racecard will go on as planned with a crowd-pleasing
addition.
The August 18th date will now
hold “Family Autograph Night” and also still be
headlined with the ASA Challenger Late Model –
“Champ 101”. The 101-lap race will pay out a greater
amount of money to all competitors in Adirondack’s
premier division. During intermission all
competitors will be asked to bring their cars down
to victory lane for a full autograph session. Price
of admission has been dropped to $15 for Adults and
$8 for Students (ages 10-15). All Children 9 and
under will be admitted free of charge. In addition a
$40 family pack (Two Adults and up to Three
Students) will be available to all fans.
