MEYER TRUCKING AWARDS FIVE DIFFERENT DRIVERS
AT THE ADIRONDACK INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
NEW
BREMEN (NY) – During this past Saturday’s event, an
interesting bonus for all divisions were brought
into effect courtesy of Meyer Trucking of Carthage,
NY. The bonuses, at $100 each, paid five different
drivers for their efforts, which in fact, were a
surprise to some at the Adirondack International
Speedway.
Paying the $100 bonus to the
seventh-place finisher in all divisions as well as
an additional $100 to the driver in seventh on
lap-28 of the ASA Challenger Late Model 50-lap gave
an interesting incentive for some of the drivers who
were unable to get up front and necessarily compete
for a win.
In the ASA Challenger Late Models, Jerry
Dineen picked off the first of the two bonuses as he
ran seventh on lap-28 with his family owned No. 11,
Ford Fusion. At the completion of the event it was
Clayton’s (NY) Erik Cupernall securing the final
$100 bonus in the division for finishing in the
seventh spot at races’ end.
In the GotGoodCheese.com True Stock
division, point leader Dylan Bancroft secured the
bonus with his fine seventh place run. In the Sport
Compacts, Chuck Powelcyzk was the winner of the
bonus while in the Westward Painting Company Light
Trucks, Ray Richer took home the Meyer Trucking
winnings as he planted his No. 44 machine into the
top-ten for the first time of the season. |
