After I hit the wall in turn four on August 30, 2008, I now truly know the meaning of the race family. My fellow competitors told my crew not to worry about the truck and they would take care of it so they could follow me to the hospital. Many people asked in the stands and pits as to how I made out and that was gratefully appreciated. I was fine, although a little sore as expected.

Next year I will be getting married. You can tell I am a die-hard race enthusiast as I am getting married on Sunday, July 26, 2008 (NASCAR Camping World Series Weekend) as not to interfere with the race schedule. Favorite Racing Memory at AIS: I would have to say my favorite racing memory would be when I won the Westward Painting Company Light Truck points race without even winning a race. It just goes to show consistency pays off.

Favorite Racing Memory at AIS: My first race in 2006 stands out when we had not been in a Late Model to race in eight years because we finished second to four-time track champion John Papin. Also winning the 100-lap season opener in 2008 ahead of Papin, qualifing me for the 200-lap 2nd Annual Renegade Nationals October 12 sponsored by TJ Toyota. I don’t think anyone was sure who would win that one.
