WESTWARD PAINTING COMPANY TO SPONSOR LIGHT TRUCK DIVISION AT THE
ADIRONDACK INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY IN 2007
NEW BREMEN, N.Y. – For the third consecutive year, the Westward Painting Company has joined on to be the sole sponsor for Adirondack International Speedway’s Light Truck division.
With over 20 trucks expected to compete weekly in 2007, the stepping-stone class has become one of the most exciting and growing divisions in asphalt competition. “We have a great time with this division, they put on an awesome show,” quoted Kevin Ward, owner of the Lyons Falls, NY based company.
While the class was introduced in 2003, three different champions have graced the podium with Randy Mooney becoming a two-time title winner securing back-to-back honors in ’03 and ’04. Mike Ramos followed up with an established championship run in 2005 while Todd McIntyre became a first-time champion in 2006. As Mooney had stepped away from the division during the 2006 season, his return to competition has been highly rumored. It has been officially announced that Ramos will graduate to the GotGoodCheese.com True Stock division in 2007 while McIntyre is expected to return to defend his crown in the Light Trucks.
